This was a collaborative project funded by the United Nations Development Program for a regional initiative: Rescate y fomento de semillas y plantas comestibles autóctonas (Rescue and promotion of edible native seeds and plants). The focus is to catalog and revalorize native seeds that are nutritional, suited for the climate, and can be freely traded, rather than forcing farmers, including families with subsistence farms, to purchase seeds.
The project’s slogan is: sembrar, nutrir, crecer, vivir (plant, nourish, grow, and live).
I worked with Ligia Carvallo to develop the brand identity for the public face of this project, culminating in an educational program and annual event.
