This photographic book is a result of a 7 minute and 3 second observation of a young dancer after her performance in the city center on a Sunday afternoon. I was watching a girl eating a purple popsicle, trying not to let it drip onto her white dress. You could see her enjoying the moment of eating the popsicle, the crowd around her and listening to the music, which she would manifest by doing little steps while she stood in place on the sidewalk. These were steps similar to those she had just performed 30 feet to her left. At times she would glimpse to her left to see the stage, but there were too many people between her and the other dancers for her to be able to see them. Her family was close by and she would occasionally interact with them. This book photographically captures 7 minutes and 3 seconds of this interaction.
